Hi! Well, I've spent a bit of time exploring del.icio.us. I have to say that one could totally lose oneself in a trail of tags for hours and hours-- somewhat reminiscent of Alice's trip down the rabbit hole-- it's a whole new world out there!
I can see the advantage of a site like this-- far more than just an alternative to 'favourites'. As the guy said in the video, it's in the social/ networking aspect of it that its real potential takes off. And I can, indeed, see a great potential for research assistance-- opportunities to build on other people's research from all around the world. In this way it could be a great time saver.
At first I thought the informal process of tagging would be too chaotic, with as many tags for the same subject as there were people! However, I think the 'related tags' function works to counteract this problem, and a type of informal 'cataloguing' does evolve.
For me, however, at this point, I think I'll be sticking to my 'favourites'. Perhaps when I start studying again I'll take another look, but at the moment I think I'd be running the risk of disappearing into cyberspace, never to be seen again...
So I believe that's task 13 completed? On to Technorati!

It's definitely a site you can get lost in, I spent ages searching different things to find new wacky and popular websites.
Great work on your blog!
